We are surrounded by food all the time. It is in our supermarkets, restaurants, and even our homes. It is a part of every culture and a part of every individual’s life. The ways we cook have changed over time to meet the needs of the people around us. We can estimate that cooking is one of the most important skills that we have as humans.

Cooking was not always a skill humans had, there was a time when it was not necessary for survival and it was something that women did because they were believed to be more suited for it than men. Cooking has been an important skill for thousands of years and will continue to be so in the future as well.Cooking is a skill that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is not something that you can just pick up and do. Cooking requires patience, precision, and creativity.

In the past, cooking was a necessity for survival. Nowadays, it has become a hobby for many people as well as a profession for some chefs. The world of cooking has changed drastically over the years with new technology and new ingredients being introduced all the time.

The introduction should mention at least one of the following:

- Technology in cooking

- New ingredients in cooking

The first cookbook is thought to have been written by Apicius, a Roman gourmet who lived in the 4th century AD.
