DNA

DNA is the key to understanding all of life. It encodes the instructions for who we are and what we do.

The DNA molecule is a long string of molecules called nucleotides, which are made up of sugars and phosphate groups, joined together in a chain. The strands are twisted around each other to form a double helix shape.

DNA is a long and complex molecule that contains all the genetic instructions needed to build an organism. It is found in the nucleus of cells, where it is coiled into structures called chromosomes.

DNA consists of four chemical bases: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T). These are always paired up with each other, so that they form two strands of DNA with the bases in opposite directions. The strands are held together by weak bonds between the bases, which can be broken if a cell dies or when a cell divides into two daughter cells.

DNA is the building block of all life on Earth. It contains all the information needed to build and maintain a living organism.

DNA is a nucleic acid, which means that it consists of a chain of nucleotides. The sequence of these nucleotides determines what proteins are made by the cell. These proteins in turn determine how an organism looks, behaves and interacts with its environment.
