Vocational Education

Vocational education is a form of post-secondary education that prepares students for a specific trade, skill or career. It is often contrasted with college education and university education.

In the United States, vocational schools are usually called trade schools, technical colleges or career colleges. These institutions provide students with a variety of training options such as apprenticeships, on-the-job training, military service and other forms of hands-on experience in the field they choose to enter.

Vocational schools have been around since at least the 1800s. They were originally designed to teach skills needed by industrial workers in the growing manufacturing sector. In recent decades they have shifted their focus to teaching technical skills needed by an increasingly information-based economy and workforce.

Vocational education is a type of education that prepares students for a specific career.

Vocational training can be useful in many ways, including:

- Helping people get the skills they need to find work

- Providing people with a way to earn an income while they're studying for another qualification

- Giving people the opportunity to learn about different jobs and careers before committing to one

Vocational education is an alternative to the traditional academic education. It is a system of education in which children learn skills that they can use in their future professions. Vocational schools are also known as vocational colleges or trade schools.

The idea behind vocational education is that it helps students to choose the career path that they want to pursue and helps them learn skills for the job. Vocational schools offer courses such as accounting, carpentry, cosmetology, and computer programming.
